Youth Accounts –
Growing Up in the Green

You’re never too young to become a member of the credit union.

  • Parents and grandparents can start teaching financial responsibility early on by making sure everyone in the family becomes a member and has at least a basic Share Account.
  • Bring your children with you to visit the credit union.
  • Ask for a quarter folder and encourage them to save with it. When they deposit a complete folder, we'll give them a reward.
  • Sign them up for the annual Breakfast with Bunny in the spring.

As our youth members grow up, we want to make sure they are prepared to meet adult financial responsibilities. With parental approval, the credit union is the best place for their "financial firsts."

  • 1st Checking Account
  • 1st Debit or ATM Card
  • 1st Credit Card – "Credit Builder MasterCard®"

And remember the youth benefits and services for our student members:

  • Annual Scholarship Awards – Graduating high school seniors planning on attending college in the fall are eligible for credit union scholarship awards from Niagara's Choice, the Niagara credit union chapter and the Credit Union Association of New York – all with one application.
  • Student and Parent Education Loans – Consolidation Loans
